About Lice Happens

Lice Happens knows that the last thing you want to be faced with is a lice infestation.  Unfortunately, for many families, lice happen.  If your child has been sent home from school for having head lice, don’t panic.  Lice Happens is a professional and mobile lice treatment service center that will come to your home to help you eradicate head lice.  We will work hard to get you and your family back to your normal schedules and routines as quickly as possible.

Lice never come at an opportune time and nobody plans to get a lice infestation.  Unfortunately, having lice can be expensive.  Over-the-counter treatments are not cheap, even for one use.  However, these treatments, in addition to being toxic and potentially harmful to your loved ones, are ineffective.  Many parents will find themselves having to purchase treatments again and again with no success to ridding the lice from their lives.  Or maybe they’ll take their child to a public salon for lice eradication.  These treatments are even more costly, but can be just as ineffective as if you did the treatments at home.  There is more to eradicating lice than simply applying treatment and hoping for the best.  Combining the cost of treatments with the time lost from work can really take a toll on a budget.

Lice Happens will never take advantage of you or your wallet.  Our methods are effective after just one visit to your home.  Our services are comprehensive, contain everything necessary for the complete eradication of head lice, and much more.  We will never try to up sell you with gimmicks or gadgets that promise shortcuts to the lice removal process.  We offer honest, thorough, and effective services with just one visit.  Our specialists are highly trained and experienced individuals who have a passion for helping families like yours find relief from head lice.

Our services are 100% confidential.  You no longer need to run to the store or pharmacy to pick up over-the-counter treatments, nor do you have to face a public salon for treatment.  We will come right to your home in a logo-free vehicle with everything we need to solve your lice problem.

Our specialists work with children all of the time.  Our experience is unparalleled and we employ soothing techniques to calm young children during the entire treatment process.  The first step we take to end the life cycle of lice is screening each member of your home for head lice.  Not everyone displays the common symptoms associated with head lice and detecting all hosts is an important step to making sure lice don’t come back.   While we go through the screening process, we will show you what to look for while screening for head lice so you know how to do it in the future as well.  Once we’ve identified those suffering, each member requiring treatment will receive thorough and prompt care.

Our treatments are made with only non-toxic, pesticide free, environmentally friendly ingredients.  They are safe, gentle, and effective.  We use them on people of all ages, they do not harm the skin, and they have no side effects.  We combine these treatments with expert combing techniques for removing lice eggs (nits), young lice (nymphs), and adult lice from the hair.  Metal lice combs are preferred to plastic combs for the removal of head lice.  We will teach you, as parents or caregivers, how to comb the hair for the required follow up care in the days after treatment.  You will also know how to use these combs should a lice infestation ever happen in your family again.

Combing techniques are essential to get correct for removing head lice for good.  Unfortunately, an over-the-counter treatment or a salon service cannot teach you combing techniques for the removal of head lice or for follow up care.  This is one area where other treatment options fall short.

In addition to teaching practical and useful skills to clients, we also educate families on the myths vs. facts associated with head lice.  There are a lot of common misconceptions out there surrounding head lice.  We will teach you what is and isn’t necessary for cleaning your home after an infestation.  We will teach you how hygiene doesn’t necessarily play a role in who gets head lice.  You will learn how lice spread and who gets them.  We go over treatment options and the next steps to ending the life cycle of lice in your home.  Perhaps one of the most important things we teach families is how to prevent lice infestations from happening in the future.
